These shorts have elastic all the way around the shorts and a draw string front making them ideal for men or women. The strings on the pockets on the side are so you can tie the pockets up tight, so you don't lose anything. They are made long for the manufacturing process. The majority of our customers love the ties but if you don’t you can cut them down to size or if you don't need them, you can cut them off. It doesn't hurt them, it’s up to you.

95% Modal 5% Spandex can be washed and dried normally or hung to dry either way they are easy to care for.
